What is VVV? Venice AI and its token
Venice provides generative-AI interfaces and APIs for text, images and other multimodal tasks. VVV is its token on Base, not ownership of a particular model. Product quality, developer costs and the token's market price should be assessed separately.
Official exchange announcements identify VVV as Venice Token. Confirm its network and contract through project documentation, then check the exchange's deposit options. A perpetual position provides price exposure without delivering on-chain VVV for use in Venice.
How do Venice APIs and privacy modes work?
Venice offers an OpenAI-compatible API. Developers still select models, configure keys and manage allowances. Compatibility does not make capabilities, prices or context limits identical: test your own workload rather than assuming a changed endpoint is a complete migration.
The help center distinguishes anonymized, private, trusted-execution and end-to-end-encrypted modes. Their data-processing boundaries differ. Check the chosen model's privacy badge and terms, and consider logs in your own application before sending customer information.
For a scheduled summarization tool, estimate input and output usage before comparing prepaid credits with DIEM's daily allowance. Model pricing determines how many tasks that allowance covers. Provide fallback funding and error handling rather than treating a token allocation as unlimited calls.
VVV, sVVV and DIEM: different assets and rights
The documented route is to stake VVV for sVVV, lock sVVV to mint DIEM at the current mint rate, then stake DIEM for an allowance in a linked account. Simply holding VVV on an exchange does not execute these separate steps.
The current documentation describes one dollar of daily Venice credit per staked DIEM, without unused allowance rolling over. This is a service entitlement, not withdrawable daily cash. Minting, unlocking and unstaking have separate conditions that should be checked before committing funds.
VVV product, lockup and market risks
Review model availability, pricing changes, service continuity and contract permissions. A position created by locking sVVV also has its own burn-to-unlock and cooldown rules. Market liquidity does not imply that every on-chain position can be unwound immediately.
Separately examine circulating supply, emissions and documented buybacks or burns. A buyback is not a price floor, and burns alone do not establish declining net supply. This page does not convert advertised compute benefits into a VVV valuation or quote unverified staking returns.
VVV: spot and perpetual markets
Only markets returned by official exchange APIs are listed; a coin is not assumed to have both spot and perpetual markets on every venue.

What is the difference between spot and perpetuals?
Spot trading buys or sells the asset itself. A perpetual is a derivative position and does not deliver withdrawable tokens. Funding, margin and liquidation risks apply; availability also depends on your region and account.
Trading links include affiliate parameters. Chaintro may earn a commission when platform conditions are met; this is not a recommendation to use leverage or a promise of returns.
VVV Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy VVV to use Venice AI?
No. The API supports prepaid credits and other funding routes. Token-based funding is a separate option; first test the service and compare the cost of the alternatives.
Is DIEM a dollar stablecoin?
Do not treat it as one. Staked DIEM provides a daily Venice service allowance, not a promise to redeem cash at one dollar. Its market price is separate.
Does holding VVV automatically provide API credit?
No. The documentation distinguishes staking VVV, receiving sVVV, minting DIEM and staking DIEM. Account linking and current contract rules also matter.
Do all Venice models offer identical privacy protection?
No. Official materials describe different privacy modes. Check each model's badge and terms; end-to-end encryption does not replace security in your own application.
