What is FET? Fetch.ai and the ASI name
Fetch.ai builds tools and a network for autonomous agents: software that executes tasks under programmed rules and authorization. An agent is not automatically a profitable trading bot for token holders. Examine the specific service and why someone would use it.
Official materials documented the 2024 FET, AGIX and OCEAN merger, and Binance announced its corresponding conversions. This explains why some market pages use FET alongside the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance name. A historical merger announcement is not a current conversion guarantee for arbitrary tokens.
How do AI agents interact with the network?
The network documentation connects FET with agent services, network operations and transaction fees. Developers still build task logic, choose data sources and manage permissions. A payment or network token does not establish the reliability of an agent's output.
A booking agent, for example, needs available options, user authorization and a way to handle payment or cancellation. Assess software capabilities, the need for on-chain settlement and per-operation costs separately. Not every off-chain AI-agent application necessarily consumes FET.
FET fees, staking and network representations
Official network materials describe fee, staking and governance roles. Native-network validation and delegation require the appropriate wallet and rules; holding FET on an exchange is different. Evaluate validator status, withdrawal conditions and price risk alongside any advertised reward.
FET has representations on different networks; exchange announcements have also listed an Ethereum version. Match sending and receiving networks and confirm the official transfer route. A shared ticker does not allow direct cross-network transfers, and old merger ratios do not establish current circulating supply.
FET migration, adoption and security risks
Migration depends on platform support, timing and the relevant contracts. Fake conversion sites can exploit a renaming announcement to request dangerous approvals. Old tutorials do not replace current wallet and exchange notices, and roadmaps are not evidence that every feature is live.
Assess utility through functioning agents, service demand and developer integration. Market prices also reflect supply and liquidity. Separate official feature descriptions from editorial judgments: this page does not forecast FET returns from AI narratives or partnership announcements.
FET: spot and perpetual markets
Only markets returned by official exchange APIs are listed; a coin is not assumed to have both spot and perpetual markets on every venue.

What is the difference between spot and perpetuals?
Spot trading buys or sells the asset itself. A perpetual is a derivative position and does not deliver withdrawable tokens. Funding, margin and liquidation risks apply; availability also depends on your region and account.
Trading links include affiliate parameters. Chaintro may earn a commission when platform conditions are met; this is not a recommendation to use leverage or a promise of returns.
FET Frequently asked questions
Are FET and ASI automatically interchangeable tickers?
Do not infer that from a name. Historical documentation records merger and renaming plans; check the asset, ticker and conversion support currently used by each platform.
Does buying FET provide a money-making AI agent?
No. Agents require software, data and authorization. Holding the token neither delivers a profitable product nor guarantees trading results.
Can native FET be sent directly to an Ethereum FET address?
Do not assume so. Confirm wallet and exchange networks and the official bridging or migration route. A network mismatch can result in loss.
Why not reuse the supply number from a 2024 announcement?
Merger conversions and subsequent integrations can affect supply. Current circulating figures need verified current data, not the total described in a historical announcement.
